Hello, we're excited for the geometry editing tools in VSW 5.16.  I was hoping to kick the tires on the new feature but can't figure out how to get it working so I can edit an existing geometry. I have a feature layer added to a map service.  Is there additional config?

    Thanks!

Jake Brown the easiest way to see it today is using the Draw menu in the Web GIS Default template. Draw a polygon, and then edit that markup and you'll see the geometry editing toolbar pop up. As a peek toward where we are headed, draw three different polygons and when you use the edit markup tool draw a box around all three. Editing multiple geometries at a time is something that is coming along well.
This is the same interaction we will be using for feature editing. The vertex editing extensions to this is in QA now, along with the rest of what is needed to do true feature editing. The entire team is working on ensuing we have solid feature editing tools ootb in 5.17.

Cam Barnard I'm assuming that you have to have a feature layer added to the map for the extra tool in Jakes example to pop-up?

Cattyann Campbell The 'feature editing' tools are in final stages. For now you can see what Jake showed above by using the Drawing tools to draw a polygon and then use the edit markup tool to edit the polygon you have drawn.

While I'm able to Draw the polygons and edit them I did not get the fancy tool with cancel, dele, style etc that is shown in Jake's example above.

Will it be possible in VertiGIS Studio Web to use transparency set in ArcGIS Pro before publicing a map service? For example 50 % transparency for a polygon fill, but no transparency for the outline and label.

HI Lea - I'm pretty sure any map service draw symbology that you set in ArcGIS Pro and publish will be properly respected and rendered as part of showing that layer service on the map.

Hi Cam. Thanks for your response. I'm asking because this is not supported within Geocortex Essentials. I look forward to our transfer to VertiGIS Studio Web.
