Allow GVH users to choose Global Search source at run-time

When Global Search is configured to search multiple sources, it would be useful to allow GVH users to choose which search source to use via a drop-down list associated to Global Search tool, similar to what Esri Search Widget can do. It's also useful that multiple search sources can be defined for a single layer, but have each search source use different search field(s).
