VertiGIS Studio 5.8 and later allow customers to install VertiGIS Studio Workflow on-premises and build workflows that run on the server, in addition to workflows that run in the browser. To learn more about server-side workflows, take a look at the Q&A on the VertiGIS Studio Blog.
As of the 5.8 release, there is important licensing information you need to be aware of:
If you are a customer who has licensed Geocortex Essentials on a perpetual basis, you are entitled to the on-premises edition, which will allow you to take advantage of the server capabilities. See this article for our current download site. As of December 31st, 2018, only subscription licensees may use the SaaS edition. Subscription licensees may use the on-premises edition, or the SaaS edition for the duration of their subscription. No matter where you access VertiGIS Studio Workflow from (on-premises or in the cloud), your workflows can be stored in ArcGIS Online or within an ArcGIS Enterprise portal. Installing on-premises does not involve any changes to workflows you have already created.
If you are a customer who has licensed Geocortex Essentials Standard Edition, and you are using VertiGIS Studio Workflow within Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS, then you must modify your license on or before December 31st, 2018. After December 31st, only licensees of Geocortex Essentials Web AppBuilder Edition or Geocortex Essentials Enterprise Edition will be permitted to run workflows within Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS.
