How to migrate Identity Server users and roles from one Essentials instance to another

Overview:
This KB article shows how to copy the Identity Server roles and users from one GE instance to another when using the default out of the box database

Solution:
Follow the below steps to move the Identity Server roles and users from GE instance A to B

• On GE Instance B, make a backup of the User Store Identity located in

  ..\Program Files (x86)\Latitude Geographics\Geocortex Identity Server\Web\App_Data\IdentityServerUsers.sdf

• Copy the User Store Identity from GE Instance A and use to replace the file in GE Instance B
• Run the Post Installer on GE Instance B
