Solution:
You may receive an error when running a workflow - "Unable to connect to the remote server in activity ..." . This error may be caused by the server not having DNS access and therefore it cannot resolve the mapservice URL (to itself).
Solution:
This can be resolved by editing the Hosts file on the server and adding an entry that contains the IP address of the server and its FQDN.
The HOSTS file is typically located at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
